Has anyone ever come across the Visual Thesaurus before..?

It's a beautiful concept to me and I like playing with it.

Just thought I would share...

The Visual Thesaurus was actually discussed in the "Additions to the Library" thread in this very section of Chicklit. It is quite amazing, isn't it? I can stare and stare and never get bored.

I love the Visual Thesaurus. It's so wonderful. I've ahd it bookmarked ever since Wing had it in her links at Hissyfit. Just beautiful.

And finally, I have a machine that has enough power to run it again. Woo!

I actually used to program for plumbdesign, but hadn't seen this new version of Visual Thesaurus. Very cool!

Edited because I'm all-of-a-sudden working for that company again (although they now call themselves "Thinkmap")!

I thought some of you might want to know that version 3.0 of the Visual Thesaurus is now out. It has
  • More word definitions
  • Audio pronunciations of the words
  • Spell checking

There are two ways to get VT3: you can either buy it and get a CD shipped to you, or you can get a subscription to the online edition.

With the subscription you can beta test the International Edition, which includes words in Dutch, French, German, Itialian, and Spanish. Pretty darn cool.

You can give it a test drive here . Enjoy.
