Thanks for the link, Deborah. I'd never even heard of this, and have committed myself to the deadline. I work much better with deadlines in place (as my boss well knows). I recently remembered a novel idea I'd had years ago, so it seems like inspired timing.

Problem fixed. Strangely. Sorry about the double post.

Aw, I would love to do this if it weren't for the fact that my November is insanely busy already (moving, woo!) and I've always been rather fond of sleep.

Best of luck and good writing karma to all of you who are participating!

Cut-off for signing up is November 30

I signed up two days ago. I have no plot. No characters. No ideas, but dammit, I'm gonna try.

It seems that as “Tomorrow” approaches, my life is getting busier and the November calendar is getting crazier, with fewer and fewer “free” time for myself and this project.

I keep wondering if it is just coincidence or if it is those internal voices that love to keep me from writing anything just trying a different trick on me this time.

So, who is planning to stay up until midnight just to give it a try? I am still thinking about it…

Yep, I'm going to the Edinburgh starters' party, then I'm going to stay up past midnight (on a work night!) and get my first 500 words or so done.

But, absolute word, setara, on the circumstances-conspiring thing. Today is the first time in a fortnight that I've had a second to think about it, and now I come to think of it, I haven't got a lot to go on. Help!

It looks like I'll be up at midnight writing crap for work, dammit. But maybe I'll slip in a little NaNoWriMo break before dawn.

But once I leave work tomorrow around 1:00, I have a whole empty weekend with NOVEL stamped on it. I'm looking forward to/dreading that.

Dangit! My friend had to ruin the whole thing for me! I'm having surgery November 26, so in order to finish, he was kind enough to inform me I'd have to church out nearly 2k words a day. I didn't want a breakdown! That's too daunting! I refuse to be grumpy, though. Okay, a little grumpy.

So now the NaNoWriMo site is down?? I'm depressed. I was going to see what's going on there as a way to procrastinate on starting to write.

They are having intermittent server problems. Wait 30 seconds and refresh, a couple times should get to the homepage.
