Some of the opinions expressed on the following site are not very mature. But I was laughing so hard:
http://www.mycathatesyou.com
and also, the frightening:

lind: yes! Strongbad email. Funny. Really funny.

I haunt this site weekly. (Now that I've read all of the pre-existing content, I check back on Tuesdays for new stories.)

other people\'s stories

The premise of the site is for people to tell stories that belong to other people. Stories told to you, stories heard through the grapevine, any story just as long as it's not your story.

If you are obsessed with shows, then these sites must be on your favorites. While most focus on Broadway and Off-Broadway,most sites include stuff from regional productions:

http://www.playbill.com
The wesbite of Playbill magazine. It has up-to-date news on theater (Broadway,Off-Broadway,regional theater,West End news, etc),interviews, all kinds of good stuff.

http://www.talkinbroadway.com
Features the All That Chat! message board, which is quite controversial in some circles. Discussions can get heated.

http://www.theatermania.com
Peter Filichia, who wrote for the defunct Theater Week, has an excellent column here.

http://www.broadwaynewyork.com
This is a commerical site that sells theater and New York memorabilia. http://www.footlight.com is a great place to get obscure show recordings.

http://www.broadway.com

http://www.broadwayworld.com

Great sites as well.

http://www.broadwaystars.com
Excellent as well.

I've been reading Jugglezine for years and only just now as I was reading an article did it occur to me that some of you might like it too. It calls itself "an unassuming e-zine about balancing work and life" and I couldn't possibly describe it any better. It's especially good, in my opinion, for those of us who are self-employed and/or working from home, but anyone who faces that challenge of balancing work and life would probably enjoy it.

Its main topic areas are Design (it's sponsored by Herman Miller but that fact is handled so subtly that I didn't even realize it until I had been reading it for some time), Issues, Lifestyles, Technology, Time Management, Work, and Working at Home, so there's stuff to suit lots of different needs and interests. I hope some of you enjoy it as much as I have.

My favorite website right now is the Julie/Julia Project , where a woman living in a small apartment in NYC has set out to cook all of the recipes from Julia Child's massive Mastering the Art of French Cooking within the space of a year. And the amazing thing is that she has only about two weeks' worth of recipes left. The writing is truly witty and entertaining and the whole project is inspiring.

Orchid, I know, isn't it great? I just started reading it two months ago. You're right, it is inspiring. Julie's work inspired me to drag out some recipes she'd done and try them myself.
