The old thread for this had been quiet for a while, but the recent entries include: The Namesake, the new Leonard Cohen documentary (!), The Devil Wears Prada, Superman, and Snakes on a Plane.

I hate to admit it, but I'm looking forward to The Lakehouse. I am naively hoping that it will rise to Somewhere in Time levels of time travel romance.

Okay, I know it's not likely to live up to the first by half, in terms of pure, rollicking fun, but I can't help looking forward to Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, simply for another couple hours of Jack Sparrow...

I kind of hate to admit it, but I'm really anxious to see The Devil Wears Prada. While not Faulkner by any stretch of the imagination, the book was a fun read and the whole time I kept thinking, "This would make a really good movie." Also it has Meryl Streep, one of my favorite actresses.

I'd probably have no interest in The Devil Wears Prada but for Meryl Streep. I can see her being great fun.

There is an Australian western with Ray Winstone and Guy Pearce called THE PROPOSITION. Don't usually like westerns but this looks good. I also wouldn't mind seeing DEVIL WEARS PRADA, it's all about Meryl.

I'm far too excited about A Prairie Home Companion, possibly because the radio show has been a part of my life for such a long time, and also because Kevin Kline is the perfect choice to play Guy Noir.

Can't believe this thread has languished for so long. My pick? The Prestige, which opened in town on Friday. The book itself always looked intriguing, and now we have Hugh Jackman to add to the allure.

essay, I was just going to post that myself! I'm really eager to see it.

Also the 3D version of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Mostly just for the chance to see it in the theater again.

I saw The Prestige today and absolutely adored it. Haven't read the book (I know, bad me) but the film is gorgeous and brilliant and I kind of want to go right back out and see it again.

I'll stand with those who want to see The Devil Wears Prada for Meryl Streep alone. But I also want to see Marie Antoinette -although the historical accuracy is likely to be minimal, I have high hopes for the costumes and general look of the film from pictures that I have seen.
