Louise Erdrich's latest acclaimed novel has been likened to To Kill a Mockingbird and is billed as her most accessible work yet.

The Round House, which won the National Book Award, is a coming-of-age story about a Ojibwe boy dealing with the aftermath of an attack on his mother on a North Dakota reservation. Erdrich layers a compelling mystery about the events of the attack on top of her explorations of tribal politics, the intersection of the spirit world and human lives, and the challenges of growing up in an unjust world.

Discussion begins on December 15. Happy reading!

Ugh, I got distracted by the holidays and haven't even started the book. If you HAVE read the book, then by all means start chatting. I'll try to get it done by the end of this week.
